Bikini Extenders If ill-fitting panties have you in a bind, relief can be found at your neighborhood fabric store. A too-snug G-string can cut into your flesh, making you look thicker than you actually are. Rather than throw them out, we offer a quick fix that requires a trip to the notions department to pick up some flashy trim, a pair of fabric shears, measuring tape, sewing needles and thread. The rest is as simple as one, two, three.
Note: If you are not handy with a needle and thread, ask the seamstress at your local dry cleaners to sew it for you.
- Cut the band on each side of the back of the G-string right at the panty. The back or sides of the G-string are ideal because the trim adds an arch making your legs look longer and leaner (adding extra fabric or trim to the front can make your hips look wider).
-
Measure the trim and cut two pieces of equal length for each side of the G-string (you can extend the band up to two inches on each side).
- Attach the trim to the band by sewing against the side trim where it's cut, connecting the other end of the notion to the panty and-voila-you have a stylish new G-string. |
